You only need a GP referral if you wish to claim a rebate through Medicare and you fulfil the Medicare criteria, as determined by your GP.
If you do not wish to claim through Medicare or you are ineligible for a Medicare rebate, you do not need a referral and can simply contact us.
Prior to your appointment, a link will be sent to your email address where you will be able to connect. The application used is HIPAA compliant. Click the link at the time of your appointment and follow the instructions. If you have any difficulties simply contact us.
It is understandable you will feel a little anxious prior to your appointment but things will be taken a step at a time. Therapy is not about making you feel uncomfortable. As far as preparation, there is very little that you will require to prepare. Prior to your initial appointment, an information package will be emailed which will explain things through for you. If you still have any questions simply call and will gladly answer any questions.
If you have a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, you may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Please check with your private health insurance to determine whether you may be eligible from a rebate.
A variety of easy payment methods are available including PayID, Direct Deposit, Beemit. An invoice will be emailed to you with instructions to pay online.
The payment is due the same day as your appointment.
Please contact via phone, text message, or email 48 hours prior to your appointment to avoid the cancellation fee. If we are not provided notice or an appointment is cancelled past the notice period, the full fee applies.
Shared care with your GP is important. With your consent, I will liaise with all parties relevant in your care and will do so within 48-72 hours of your consultation.
This will ensure continuity of care through shared and up-to-date communication. The relationship with your GP and any other health professional is a partnership.
